What is the GMAT Focus Edition?

The New Focus Edition Difference:

The GMAT is now shorter and more focused! The essay (AWA) section has been removed, the duration reduced to 2 hours 15 minutes, and the maximum score updated to 805.

The Updated GMAT Exam Format

The GMAT Focus Edition consists of 3 equal sections. Each section lasts 45 minutes and is computer-adaptive.

Quantitative Reasoning (45 Mins)

21 questions. Measures your problem-solving ability using basic algebra and arithmetic. Calculator use is not permitted.

23 questions. Tests Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

GMAT exam results remain valid for exactly 5 years from the date you took the test.
If your goal is an MBA or a master's in business/finance, the GMAT is the gold standard. However, if you might apply to engineering or social sciences, the GRE could be a more flexible choice.
You can take the GMAT up to 5 times in a rolling 12-month period, and up to 8 times in a lifetime. There must be at least 16 days between two exams.
